Formation and Existence Of Alogita Akide Initiative
Alogita Akide Initiative Turkana East CBO is duly registered by the Directorate of Social Development Pursuant to and in accordance with the Provisions of the Community Groups Registration Act, (No 30 of 2022). Alogita Akide Initiative Turkana East is a Community Based Organization as well as a Trust,Non -Profit and Non-Governmental initiated in May 2021. Its main mandate is Women Economic Empowerment and Financial inclusion through table Banking. Since inception we have spread to over two (2) Sub-Counties serving over 1500 women Organized in over 100 groups. We have indirectly touched over 5000 families and our main stakeholders being the Women whom we spread the Joy.
Alogita Akide Initiative is a governance, social accountability, human right and social-economic organization operates across the Turkana East Sub-County with forty nine (49) registered groups comprising of Women, Youth, Pleasants and Private sector. Our membership is : 70% Women, 25% Youth and 5% Minorities groups. Alogita Akide Initiative has also decided to join the team of Visionaries yearning to impact and develop the Turkana County. Alogita Akide Initiative Organizations aim at achieving sustainable results from developmental activities and Initiatives to our communities, especially with the Women, Youth, widows and People with disability. The Community Based Organization borrowed the initiative from Turkana South Sub-County while engaging with their The Greater Turkana South Initiative Women Groups.
